About the method
Alone & Okay is an online course for working owners whose dog struggles when left alone. It is made by the Alone & Okay team at Costa Launch LLC. We are not veterinarians or certified behaviorists, and we don't claim to be. The lessons are narrated by an AI voice. The method is built from published research and veterinary behavior guidance, listed below so you can check it yourself.
What is the method?
- Short, calm absences below your dog's threshold, grown slowly, and ended before your dog gets upset.
- Workday cover while you train, so your dog isn't left alone past what they can handle. Options from $0 (favors, lunch breaks) up.
- Calm departures and returns, and reading stress signals on camera.
- Reward-based only. No punishment and no aversive tools.
- No medication advice. That decision belongs with your vet; the course tells you when to talk to them.
What is it based on?
- Gradual, below-threshold absences and calm departures: ASPCA, Separation Anxiety and RSPCA, training your dog to stay home alone.
- Owner-applied desensitization as the key element: Sargisson, Veterinary Medicine: Research and Reports (2014), a review of treatment and management.
- Not every case is the same (anxiety vs. frustration): de Assis et al., Frontiers in Veterinary Science (2020).
- Reward-based only, no punishment or aversive tools: AVSAB Position Statement on Humane Dog Training (2021).
These organizations and authors are not affiliated with Alone & Okay and do not endorse it. Our own rules of thumb are labeled as such inside the course.
What does it not promise?
No honest course can promise to cure separation anxiety or to work by a certain date. Progress usually takes weeks to months, has setbacks and varies from dog to dog. If your dog injures themselves, tries to escape, stops eating or the behavior started suddenly, contact your veterinarian.
Frequently asked
Is Alone & Okay worth it?
It's worth it if you want a structured, step-by-step plan built around a workday, for $37 one time, with a 7-day money-back guarantee through Hotmart. It is not a cure, results vary from dog to dog, and it doesn't replace your vet or a behavior professional for severe cases.
How long does it take?
The first plan takes 7 days of short daily sessions. Real change with separation problems usually takes weeks to months and varies a lot from dog to dog, so we don't promise a timeline. The Diary tool shows your own dog's progress.
Who is it for?
Owners of dogs of any age who struggle when left alone, especially people who work long days and need a plan to cover the workday while they train. If your dog injures themselves, stops eating or the behavior started suddenly, see your vet first.
